Shanghai Fashion Week Show for May J.

Long hair is really not that comfortable. Super hot and always gets in the way like in your mouth while eating. Theme was Jesus, great design and tailoring. Everything handmade.

Sunday view at the Bund with Marina. Last week I took her pictures. She makes me dream away by her beauty and relaxing personality. I will upload some pictures from the shooting later.

Fashion Show in Hangzhou. I met my friend Jakub Blail that was in Hong Kong last year. Clothes was cool, style a bit underground with a touch of classiness. The audience went crazy, screaming and clapping when we walked out on the runway. Felt like a superstar with the girls going nuts and dying to shake our hands. Got to talk Danish with Swedish model Victor. All nice.

Armani Show with Kalo, Anna and Alicia plus some Chinese models. An easy day at the office.

Cocktail party with the guys and bookers. Met some crazy and cool people. Great fun and laughs.

Jing’an Temple. Throwing money in the tower for good- luck and work. Mind refreshing atmosphere and beautiful Golden temple.

One of our bookers found a kitten around the agency and kept it. It’s now part of the family. They named it “Eleven”, the agency co-owner name is Seven. Together they are always open.

Our driver. Super kind guy, he speaks absolutely no english but still manage to direct us around the city to different locations.

My eyes are constantly seeing things. For me pictures are worth more than words. Photography becomes closer to me for each day I live.

I love chicken! Probably my diet consists of 20-30% lean chicken. In China I’ve noticed something cool. Black chicken! They are supposed to be healthier and prized with medicinal values. I had a few friends outside my last apartment near Jiangsu Rd. Station although they were not real “Silkies” as the black skinned chickens are referred to. Last week I went to Zhengzhou and had a black chicken soup, it was pretty amazing. Another meal I enjoyed there was a simple rice dish topped with peanuts & chicken plus some veggies. They serve hot water most of the time.

All kinds of food are being sold on the streets of Zhengzhou. We stayed at the Ramada Hotel and I took a walk in the morning before working. Always enjoying walking around although this time I was pretty much lost on my way back. Helpfully I found a fashion store with one english speaking person that was kind to look up the hotel on the internet.

The first month in Shanghai has been busy with a lot of castings and driving around. Often we have a little time to eat between each casting. Luckily I have gained good skills with chopsticks in Japan and therefore being able to consume super fast. I had these pumpkin looking rice-paste balls. A bit sweet but very delicious.

So last week I arrived to Shanghai. I was all impressed and curious about how the city looks and feel since I never been here before. It was cloudy and rainy the day I arrived. This picture pretty much explains how it felt driving from the airport to central Shanghai.

Together with beautiful and charming Adelina we went to a restaurant called Mint. From there you have the view of the Bund and Shanghai skyline.

The first week has been busy driving around the city for castings. Job #1 was at the Shanghai Expo Center promoting Edwin Jeans. No surprise for me that it had to be a Japanese brand. What can I say? I just love Japan and they love me back! It was great days in the company with Ukrainian Anton, Brazilian Marina and Russian Adelina.

For now I will get to know more about Shanghai. Will keep you posted about my experiences. /Jonas

It looks like it’s very cold on the tree branches.

In the morning under blue skies we still have frost here in Sweden, I’m back after a wonderful trip to Japan. Many thoughts got an decision during the time in Japan, We have a very active year in front of us.

I decided to be a Japanese master This year, before I learn french more seriously, since Japan Is my second home. The day before I left I got the Idea of how I can make time to study Kanji and got an PS VITA and the game Gravity daze (Gravity rush U.S version). May be the best add in my backpack year 2012!

When I was younger I loved games, but my time disappeard, Thanks to handheld games I still have the chance to play a little, Must say that Gravity Daze is beautiful.

Dear Lars Von Trier, I spend my last day in Tokyo with my Japanese friend Kaoru. She is warm and fun and her characteristics are very human being. She told me that she wants to get married and find her true happiness. Like a song I have heard before from Japanese girls. I wanted to explain her how I felt about it. “Thinking” that happiness arrives when getting married is an illusion, an illusion that is based in the future. I wanted her to be happy about herself, not because of someone ells or something ells. Not by taking her love and dreams away, but making her understand that true happiness comes from this very moment and not from some imagination about how the future will treat her.

Together we decided to hit the cinema, looking at the billboard we were going to watch “The girl with the Dragon Tattoo”, until my eyes passed Melancholia! Perfect, I would like to show her a movie by a danish film director and also I would like to watch it myself. Coincidently I felt the movie was emphasizing the very same message. It was a great experience for me to watch that movie in Japan (Not because of the language) it was only subtitled in Japanese. Especially in the end of the movie. If you have seen it in the cinema you realize that after the contact everything blacks out and stays black! Normally the lights goes on when the movie is done and you exit. I believe Lars wanted to have a message in the end keeping everything dark and silent. Resulting that everyone in the cinema kept sitting down thinking when to leave. I stood up and left as the first feeling that most people misunderstood the whole movie! It was and is a wakeup call to everyone! Feel yourself and your own happiness, don’t base it from the future or build it from your mind or ego. Don’t marry someone just to get happy, find your true love and your own happiness first, then marry! Time to get some sleep, an early flight is waiting for Shanghai! Goodnight and love! /Jonas

This morning in Tokyo I was surprised to look out my window. It seems like I didn’t escape the Scandinavian winter after all. Tomorrow I wake up to Shanghai, hopefully the snow will be gone.
